In future I will just be updating this post

Monday 8th February 2010 - Timeslip Week

‘The Curse of Bodmin House’ is coming on Friday at 8:30pm (is that in your head yet?!) – and to celebrate we’re having a special Timeslip week!

From tomorrow onwards I will be posting user content up (and there’s still time to send anything in that you make that’s related to Timeslip, or related to Christmas for next week – for the chance to win possible prizes! Send me a PM or email me at seb@drwhofigures.co.uk – pictures, comics, stories – anything!) but there are also ‘official’ Timeslip things going up this week:

The Doctor Museum

This exciting Timeslip story, complete with pictures from the ever-brilliant A64, will run in four parts from today until Thursday. You can read it and give feedback in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2699

Bodmin House Poster

As a taste of what’s to come - you can now view the poster for ‘The Curse of Bodmin House’. Just jump over to here for more: viewtopic.php?p=72924#p72924

More coming soon...

There’s plenty more Timeslip to come this week so keep checking back!

Tuesday 2nd February 2010

Today we have launched DWFO V4Beta. Throughout the Month we’ll be making changes all over the site so keep an eye on this page for updates. Your feedback is more than welcome in this thread and will help to shape the future of the site: http://www.drwhofigures.co.uk/forum/vie ... f=1&t=2359.

So far our changes have been:

-A revamped home page combining our news hub for quick reference
-The new Matt Smith smilies on our forum ( :) !)

...And there are many more changes to come over the course of the Month!

And a quick reminder to enter our competition (prizes to hopefully be announced soon) just send us either something to do with Christmas or to do with our Timeslip comic series (preferably with figures – but at least Doctor Who related) so we can put them on the site over the next fortnight! The best entries win!

Anything counts – pictures, stories, songs you name it! But hurry – time is running out, the earlier you get them in the better! Send them to the usual email address (see the homepage) or contact me for more information.

This is being posted again so it can easily be checked by visitors.

We are returning!
Keep checking back as we have more information coming soon...

PART 1: Our grand return!

On March 1st the main site will be regenerated with more reviews, up to date information and a whole lot more! From then on it will be kept updated as part of my full-time job.

And - to lead into this - February will be a countdown Month, with new content being released most days and two weeks of themed content. One will be 'Christmas', making up for missing Advent, and the other will be 'Timeslip' with loads more updates already being made. You will have a chance to be involved, further information on this being will be given out next week.

Right... Update time!

Not the full update (again!) but some exciting news...

I've been chatting over the phone and fixing things up, and what the people I'm talking to and I have decided is that a final face-to-face meeting would be the best way to confirm details.

Therefore on the 26th I will be attending The Toy Fair in London (!!!!) and finally cleaning up details. Although that week is going to be manic for me I hope to fill you in on the details shortly after the meeting. What I won't be able to do is tell you about new figures only on show there :winkDT: .

Tomorrow I will release further detail about our previous update, including how you can all be really involved and exciting updates on Timeslip! Trust me - this should be brilliant.

I am thrilled to announce further news about our relaunch. As to the real second part of our updates, I am still finalising details and will be attending The Toy Fair in London next week first in order to discuss it further - so I hope you can understand the delay! It is worth it if things work out!

Anyway… The beginning of February will see the opening of ‘DWFO V4 Beta’ – with a new home page. Throughout the Month further changes will be made to the website and you will be invited to comment on all aspects of the site.

Monday the 8th February will see the start of ‘Timeslip week’. Each day you will be invited to re-read old Timeslip comics, a four part story will be gradually released over the week, and user-submitted Timeslip content will be shown as well. So please start sending in all your Timeslip work now – we’re accepting things from today until the 11th February! And then – the 12th… At 8:30pm Timeslip Episode 6 ‘The Curse of Bodmin House’ will be released to view – starring Donna and Wilf!

The week starting the 15th will be a Christmas themed week, as advent would have been, and users are invited to send their Christmas content in from now until the 18th.

We hope to organise a competition for the best content sent in, and are in discussions with a possible sponsor for the prizes, so stay tuned and get working on your content! Further details about V.4 will follow in the coming days and weeks. However this is your opportunity to have a say on the site.
